Eric Wolterstorff
**
Eric began studying with Peter Levine, a leader in the field of traumatology, in 1993. Wolterstorff studied for a doctorate in group traumatology from 1998-2003 (his dissertation: A Speculative Model of How Groups Respond to Threats). He learned about the different ways people gain memories, the different ways people store memories, and the different ways people express memories. He created the basic and advanced Trauma Integration Protocol (TIP) trainings. Eric's expertise is cultural psychosocial development and group trauma, in particular the behavior of societies responding to existential, long-term threats. He founded and leads Sovereignty First. Eric is available for Case Modality Consultation and to lead TIP-Transference trainings.
Perzan K. Irani
**
Perzan serves as the Executive Director of The Healing Trauma Collective and leads the TIP Foundations Training. He has been working with individuals over a decade helping them resolve symptoms that are adversely affecting their health and well-being. Perzan works with the autonomic nervous system and body to resolve the disruptions at the core of most symptoms. For close to eight years, he received direct training and instruction from Dr. Wolterstorff in the Trauma Integration Protocol (TIP). Additionally, he has received weekly consultation from Christina Oshier Andrews, MA, LPC, the lead researcher on the pilot study of TIP, for more than six years. Perzan has conducted in-person and online training, both nationally and internationally, for over 60 psychologists, psychiatrists, therapists, and other professionals in the Trauma Integration Protocol.
Randy Bonnom
**
After a fairly standard urban Midwestern indoctrination, Randy obtained a degree in psychology from the research-oriented University of Illinois/Champaign campus in 1973. He received his Master’s in Counseling from Regis University Denver in 2015, specializing in trauma & addiction. So, it’s the space between that’s most interesting . . . He wandered in the landscape of alcoholism and addiction from teen years to mid-thirties, grateful to have survived. The past few decades he’s invested his life in a path of healing & evolution, determined to find or create a map to that real place where grief becomes beauty & pain becomes joy. He’s often said the Trauma Integration Protocol is the embodiment of that map in 21st century lingo. But what about You? You, the one who’s reading this right here, right now? Something has happened. You’re seeking. Connection is a good way to begin. So, what’s your deal?

FAQ
-
An experiential body-based modality designed to resolve stressful life experiences
-
TIP can help resolve the primary causes of highly stressful or overwhelming experiences that may be adversely affecting your health and well-being.
-
Stressful or overwhelming life experiences can get locked into the nervous system and can remain reactive years later with the same intensity as the day the trauma occurred.
-
It’s intended to support the release of a stressful or emotional charge through the natural mechanisms that are part of the autonomic nervous system. Through a series of interventions, the goal is to shift the nervous system so that it can process and release these held experiences in order to feel a more calm, relaxed state of being.
-
Like talk therapy, you’ll begin with introductory sessions before moving through each of the five phases of the protocol, which largely use mindfulness and tracking of body responses as you move through recalling a stressful or overwhelming experience or event.
-
The clinical reports from using the TIP show no additional side-effects when used appropriately. However, during a session, it’s possible to experience some emotional distress or physical discomfort related to stressful or traumatic experiences you may have had earlier in life that can be perceived as negative. Some people have have experienced irregular breathing patterns, shaking, vibrating, seizure-like episodes, and body contortions, during a session. Unresolved memories may come up to your conscious awareness and emotional material may continue to surface after a session and give indication of other issues or incidents that may need to be addressed.
